• During the night some or somewhat has changed my “administrator” role permissions to “no role on this site”. Impossible to login today with my own admin account. Why does stuff like this happen?

  • Probably your site is compromised for some reason or someone who knows the password of Cpanel has changed it

Login to your Cpanel , go to phpmyadmin and select wp users table

locate your username and change password and set the user status to 0

more detailed info can be seen here https://wpengine.com/support/add-admin-user-phpmyadmin/

Please only use plugins from the official repository and use only themes from reputable websites ..stay from nulled or cracked resources

Also change your cpanel password and ask your host to run a virus scan just to be safe

    Good luck

Get a fresh cup of coffee, take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

If you’re unable to clean your site(s) successfully, there are reputable organizations that can clean your sites for you. Sucuri and Wordfence are a couple.

Hi after ours of work and try to understand I gave away my cpanel username and password to [link removed]. After a complete check of files and database, they concluded “Great News, it looks like you site is clean ! Do bear in mind we did come across some spam comments in your database, but they are not malicious.
Whilst we couldn’t find any infected files this time, you should consider protecting your website from future hacking attempts and data breaches.”

Two things happend: 1. My “Administrator” was changed to “No role on this site” and 2. my “nicname” was blank.
Is there any other instances this could happen?
