my blog disapeared

my web hosts created a blog for me in oct last year, which was linked to the site they were building. When the site moved live recently, I lost the blog, and as it was utilising my domain name this is a blow to me. I understand this will be due to moving the website into the live domain, however is there anything I can do?

any help would be much appreciated!
