• Hello everybody,

I just launched my personal blog dedicated for webmasters. The reason? I have launched my website 6 months ago and was total newbie in search engines optimization, having some extra cash from website, etc. Now my website generates hundreds of dollars every month, gets very good traffic from search engines. It’s not very hard. And i just thought: why shouldn’t i to share my personal experience and help others?

Even if blog is related to business, it’s not commercial. As you see, there aren’t any ads or advertisements, it means this post isn’t created to get some traffic only ??

    And URL is https://www.lipskas.com

I’d be very happy to hear your opinion (even if it is very negative or bad)

    It’s really interesting ??

Posted an entry about blog customization, and according to comments, readers don’t care about webdesign… There are all your quotes also: https://www.lipskas.com/2005/04/should-i-customize-my-blog/

It is well and good that you want to help others, by providing tips and tricks.

but to better serve the other webmasters, you might want to consider the following things.

    1. Add More Categories on the sidebar, that makes people to quickly find what they want.
    2. reduce the size of the header fonts and length of the header text, and make it short and sweet.
    3. if one post is occupying more than a few paragraphs, just to give the gist of it in the main page, and give a link for ‘more’, so only the interested parties will look into it., because for other people it will only be a large text, and that reduces their interest on your blog.
    4. you may also want to large posts to be presented in multiple pages.
    5. There are more than 100,000 WP installs, and many of them use the default theme. So you need to work on its look to a little bit, so people do not see you as ‘just another wordpress blog’
With WP 1,5, Setting up a theme has also been made so damn easy, even a school kid will do.
The theme websites are already presented in a previous post, and you can also do a search on google for wordpress themes.
Installing them is just a matter of drag and drop.

Hope this helps, feel free to post your views for further discussion.

    Thanks.
    Sadish
