My Blog has been hacked :(….

  • My blog https://www.farmingsecretsblog.com has been hacked by a hacker group..
    Im’ relatively new at blogging and I don’t have a clue what to do.

    I try to login but they have changed my password, I backed up the site via ftp and I’m not sure about what steps I should be taking to not stuff anything up.

    I would appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve this matter!!

  • Your best bet is to report this to your host ASAP.

    what version of wordpress that you are using?

    Helen – do you have access to your server through a control panel?

    Do you have access to PHPMyAdmin? You can change your password through PHPMyAdmin, and your email to get access to your blog again, but it’s best to also run an exploit scanner JIC.

    This is a good reason why everyone needs to install security features to harden their WordPress installation.
