• This morning I tried to access my blogsite, phantomobserver.com, and got a white screen.

I have no problem getting to the WordPress dashboard, all the files are there and intact, but the screen remains blank.

I reported this to Yahoo Webhosting which hosts my site, and they tell me they couldn’t find anything wrong on their end. Since I can access to dashboard, I’d have to say I believe them.

They have recommended that I uninstall and re-install the blog, but I really don’t want to lose the entries already posted (not to mention the template modifications I’ve done).

    What do I do?

  • Have you added anything recently? Disable your plugins and see if your blog returns.

The site returned after I de-activated all of the plug-ins. I’m not sure what happened, but that was good advice, thanks.

I’ve reactivated the Akismet and Yahoo Blog Statistics plug-ins and so far it’s still up.

Glad to hear your blog is back, if you want to continue figuring out which plugin is the culprit, enable them one-by-one and see what happens to your blog.

Badly coded plugins can do a lot of damage and most of it unseen. ??
