My Blog just Disappeared?

  • Actually it is a friends blog. I set it up for him and he has not yet used it. I checked on it today and everything was reset to original design and there was a message that stated it could not be found. Double checked the url and it was right. So I logged into his admin and hit visit site and found the same message. I have not touched it and he has not touched it – nobody else has the login information. What gives?

    How else can anyone answer that?

    This exact same thing happened to one of my sites… I installed WP and then we just left it alone because the owner didn’t have time for it just then… a few weeks later, the blog was gone and the old site was back up, intact, even though it had been deleted.

    I suspect the hosting company may have had a failure of some kind and reverted or rolled back to an old backup of the site.

    Or, you know, yard gnomes. I like that one better. ??
