My blog temporarily 'crashes' after I update a post or page

Hi. I’m using 3.2.1 with the twentyten theme and assorted plug-ins (which I have not tried disabling yet).

For as long as I can remember, every time I update a most or page (even if I don’t make changes), my site goes down for a few seconds. Refreshing a couple times will fix it. I have replicate the problem on different computers on different networks.

The error I get is:

IE says: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Chrome says: Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

My exact steps are: Edit a post or page (or add a new one), click Update, and then click View Post or View Page after it’s been updated, and then I get the error above.

I know I should try disabling all my add-ons but I have several with very particular settings and I’m afraid to lose those settings if I disable the add-on.
