• Hi, I really hope someone can help me. I’ve been running my blog for just over 2 years and haven’t had any issues with is what so ever. I have always been able to login and view it. On either the latest version of Firefox or Safari with no issues. However yesterday, it just randomly decided never to work again. I can’t load it and I can’t login. It just spins like it’s loading for ages then nothing happens, or I get an error page saying what I am looking for doesn’t exist.

I’m finding this really odd because I can login using my iPhone with no issues and view it fine. Other people can view it because I have tried other computers and it works fine there, it just seems to be my Macbook that I can’t view it on on any browser tried. Also my boyfriends Macbook wont load it neither. I thought it may have been some Mac issue that occurred, but my brothers Macbook will load it so it’s not.

I have cleared my cache and cookies, nothing will fix it. I just can’t load it on my computer. I have been receiving comments and views though so I know it’s working for others. Does anyone know what the issue might be? It’s causing such a problem because I need to make some posts and I can’t unless I borrow someone elses. Hopefully someone might be able to help me with what the issue might be? Thanks in advance and my blog is https://www.raindropsofsapphire.com

    Lorna.

Ok thank you! I will try that and hope for the best! I did speak with Go Daddy again and they told me after I performed a Trace Route that I do have lag as it gets closer to their servers at Hop 12-17 which they think could cause the problem. So I need to contact my ISP today and hopefully they will help me.

My boyfriend checked on this for me, if you click website details, there is an alert sign on my theme. What does that mean?

My theme was installed during a guided transfer for me. It’s not available for www.ads-software.com blogs, only .com, but they transferred it for me. It’s Fruit Shake. Which I LOVE. But is the alert sign because it was transferred over differently?

It means that Sucuri takes WordPress version numbers seriously. ??

You’re installation is running WordPress 3.3.2 but the current version of WordPress is 3.4. You really should upgrade if only to keep current.

I’m unable to because of all the problems I’m experiencing with my blog right now, it wont let me back up and I don’t want to do the update without having a back up ?? Everything is such a problem and Go Daddy are useless ??

I don’t want to do the update without having a back up

I know you’re having problems, but the fact that you want to backup before you upgrade truly warms my heart. ??

If you can get file access to your WordPress installation, then that part is usually not difficult to backup.

The database portion is only a little more difficult. If you have access to your hosts (GoDaddy in this case) phpMyAdmin then you can safely backup your installation.

Command line access using mysqldump works too.

Give these a read, they’ll provide advice on how to backup safely.

Thank you, I will take a look into it. I did manage to back up at Go Daddy, I did a database back up, but I can’t figure out where it saves it and I am not able to find anywhere to download it to my hard drive. So I wasn’t sure how that back up worked exactly, do you have any ideas?
