My boss forgot all his information

If you have access to cPanel, DirectAdmin or Plesk, you can see the username, reset the e-mail or password and more directly in the MySQL-database (using phpMyAdmin).

I’ve found the phpMyAdmin through Godaddy, however I don’t know the username or password, it doesn’t seem to be the same as the Godaddy account. how would I be able to gain access to this?

You can probably find your database user and password in the wp-config.php file.

ok how about I change the password through the FTP, in that case it tells me to put “wp_set_password( ‘password’, 1 );” after the first <?php:

So, did you try to gain acces through to login information from wp-config.php?

What you can also do, it isn’t best practice obviously, is use the wp_insert_user function and create an admin-account through your themes functions.php.

After adding this code, just refresh your website once and remove the code again. You can then surf to /wp-admin and login.

So again, this isn’t ideal but I guess it will work.

Ok I found my username and password for the database. I then followed the directions on this page https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Resetting_Your_Password#Through_phpMyAdmin

I edited, put in a new password, selected MD5 in the dropdown, hit the “go” button.

I still can’t log in.

Here’s a piece of information I will include. It looks like this site was orginaly https://www.glutasource.com but now has a redirect to https://www.glutasource.info

I can’t get to a https://www.glutasource.com/wp-login/ page

only https://www.glutasource.info/wp-login/

could that have something to do with it??

You might want to try and set your WP_HOME and WP_SITEURL to glutasource.info in your wp-config.php file.
