My browser is not showing my updates

  • Hello,
    I have updated my page in wordpress but updates are not showing in my browser.
    What is different:
    Home page is only showing two items in menu bar – there should be four. The other pages show four items but they are all using the same menu bar?!
    I have replaced client’s contact details with a button to a contacts page.
    I have tested on different browsers and different devices.
    I have purged everything in my stackcache in wordpress and cleared browser cache images and files.
    I am using the twenty twenty theme.
    Theme and plugins all up to date.
    If anyone could help me I would appreciate it.

  • Could it be your host/server has a cache which is being accessed?

    Another question, more basic and not meaning to be disparaging, but did you ppublish the changes? Or if you only saved as a draft, did you look at a preview?

    Some very basic questions, I am afraid.

    1. I have opened a ticket with my host to see if this is the case.

    I have found that sometimes there is a lag between my making changes and their taking effect. I was trying to do something with shortcodes and couldn’t get it to work, the next morning I returned to the problem and it was solved. There is mystery there…. ??

    @stilman-davis my host cleared their cache and this fixed the site on my mobile and edge browser but it took a few more days for chrome to update!
    Apparently this is a problem with Chrome. Its good to know for the future.
    Really appreciate your support ??
