(I also submitted this question somewhere I can’t find again on the BruteProtect website)

I’ve been adding BruteProtect to my non-multisite/standard install sites. The first 8 went fine, and I thought the next two did. Did the API and Access Token. Functional dashboard showed up for each. my.bruteprotect.com was catching the first eight sites as I added them, until…

On the last two sites, when I return to the MyBruteProtect tab, it gives me the “Dashboard not available” message. I’ve Disconnected Site, deactivated/deleted/reinstalled, but nothing has gotten this to work.

    1) Have others been able to get more than eight sites to work with one Access Token?

    2) The Deactivate/Delete/Reinstall cycle didn’t ask me to reenter my API key or Access Token. Where is BruteProtect storing this data?

I forgot to mention that I’m logging into my.bruteprotect.com account with my wordpress.com credentials…if that makes any difference. I didn’t create a dedicated login for my.bruteprotect.com.

Ok, deactivating Bad Behavior fixed it. Is there something I should be whitelisting?

I get the same problem. Any further hint to solve it is welcomed.

To be clearer: I’m using BruteForce on a non-multisite/standard installation of WordPress 4.0.

I get the Dashboard as soon as I connect the site to BF. As soon as I modify any parameter in the Setting interface (IP whitelist, dashboard visibility), I get the No dashboard available error message : “We’ve noticed that you have not allowed My BruteProtect to remotely monitor your site. Please log into the WordPress admin at , and enable remote monitoring on the BruteProtect settings page.” while the corresponding privacy setting option is correctly set (“Remotely monitor your site uptime and scan for malware; Remotely track the versions of WordPress, plugins, & themes you have installed; Remotely update your site”).

I do not have any other security plugin running – yhough it would be interesting to know whether there is any known incompatibility between BruteForce and any other security plugin?

Either there is something I get wrong, or there is a problem.

    Any idea?

I’m having the exact same problem as the person above on my first site. Even tried removing the plugin and reinstalling with no luck.

I cant see a “bad behavior” option on the my.bruteprotect.com website because I have not been able to add any sites yet.

    Hi Everyone

I am here to help with your issues, it sounds like everyone experiencing similar but not exactly the same issues.

@sdayman did deactivating Bad Behavior solve your problem? If not reply here or email me directly at me @ getparka.com

Hi @kliban and @robertbasil, there are two things you need to access your site through the my.bruteprotect.com dashboard. 1. you must have a unique API key, so if you need a new one, you can delete the one you have, save it. Then request a new one. 2. You must save your privacy settings to allow for my.bruteprotect.com to have access to those items. Please confirm that you have a unique API key and that your privacy settings are set properly

@robertbasil sdayman was referring to a completely different plugin called Bad Behavior, it’s not a option for BruteProtect.

    Hello,
In some cases there have been issues with certain hosting or server configurations. We’re constantly looking into ways around this, so please feel free to send any relevant info to help @ bruteprotect.com. Sites are still protected even when not using My BruteProtect.

@robertbasil – Bad Behavior is a different plugin by a different author and not a part of BruteProtect. It’s a conflict we’re aware of.

    Thanks!

    Thank you Jesse,

(though the problem is not solved).

    – I installed version 2.2.6 version of BruteForce (the tabs are stable, great!)
    – I got a new API key installed
    – I checked the “Privacy Setting” check Box
    – I saved the settings
    – I linked the site though my former access token
    => Dashboard was available

    – I left the page and came back
=> Dashboard is unavailable (“We’ve noticed that you have not allowed My BruteProtect to remotely monitor your site. Please log into the WordPress admin at , and enable remote monitoring on the BruteProtect settings page.”)

I am puzzled. Anything you’d need to help further the diagnosis?

Can you email me the url of your site to jesse [at] getparka.com so I can take a closer look. I want to make sure there are no obvious errors, but at this point it looks like something is interrupting the connection between your server and ours.

Jesse, deactivating Bad Behavior fixed it. Stephen mentioned that it’s a known conflict, so I’ll sit tight.

OK, this is working great on most of my a few test WP sites. (we’ve got hundreds we want to protect) It is not working on a WP Network site at lubyg.com. It also uses domain mapping for several sites. I do not have Bad Behavior installed. The message says

We’ve noticed that you have not allowed My BruteProtect to remotely monitor your site. Please log into the WordPress admin at , and enable remote monitoring on the BruteProtect settings page.

After the words admin at there is nothing further. It shows it is enabled when I login to wordpress.com and it takes me to https://my.bruteprotect.com/dashboard

Uninstalled and re-installed several times to no avail. It says the site is protected, just not monitored.

Kilban and paontheweb can you send more info to help @ bruteprotect.com? URLs, hosting info, browser info, and any relevant screenshots would be great.

    Thanks!

Facing same issue After successful generating API and token and Its said site is linked now but when I refresh I get this message.

    “My BruteProtect Dashboard not available

We’ve noticed that you have not allowed My BruteProtect to remotely monitor your site. Please log into the WordPress admin at , and enable remote monitoring on the BruteProtect settings page.”

I have also already connect jetpack and logged in my.bruteprotect.com

Using Inmotion hosting, Firefox, Latest wp and plugin. with WP3 total cache. Tried also disable plugins as well.

    Hello,
We apologize for your frustrations. Please understand that each site and hosting company can present a unique case and we do try to track down the issues when they arise. We’ve added a debug tool the latest version and you’re able to send that data via the plugin. Please update to the latest version and send us that info when you can as It helps us to find commonalities with the few sites that do have issues (we’re about to hit 170,000 protected sites!).

Please note that issues with My BruteProtect do not impact botnet protection of your site(s).

    Thanks for your help!
    Stephen

    Hi Stephen,

Error report sent and Its also says

Your site is connecting successfully to the BruteProtect API.

Also as you said above, bruteprotect is protecting the site and just remotely monitor site feature is not working. Can we use Jetpack built-in monitoring service that monitor downtime or should we disable the monitoring service if we need to use this plugin.

    Thanks
