  • At a guess, I’d say your Permalinks aren’t working. Check that page for troubleshooting tips. (a link to your blog would be useful)

In particular, confirm with your host that mod_rewrite and AllowOverride are both on and enabled

Double check those two url’s you entered in the options general.

Been there. I used to make them different for my own self hosted, broken DNS reasons. Then a WP upgrade or two back broke “that fun” just the way you describe.

Sorry about that duh ! Site is https://www.nitevids.com
I am sure my host allows write and rewrites I will try fixing permalinks.

Adult Content Warning for that link PORN – Run Away!. So many flashing banners and crap that I won’t look for your archives or category problems or even look to see if it was a WP issue.

Turn off the flashing porno or hire someone. Porn is my issue. Flashing crap and god only knows what cookies were left here for going there.

Sorry did not know people won’t help adult blogs.
    Should have warned first.
You know what your a butthead I am not a spammer thats why I didnt have a link in the first place.
I just needed help if you don’t want to help then don’t help I don’t need your smart ass comments save it for your mom.
I am usually really nice but your comments ticked me off I apologize for my posting but some people just don’t have any manners.

I’m not unwilling to help, it’s I can’t find the damn things you’re worried about in all the crud.. How many cookies did your ad’s leave in my computer. How many Windows machines caught a virus from them?

Although I appreciate your help I apologize I should have informed you that it was an adult site it was not done on purpose. Someone asked for a link to my site so I put it up. None of my ads have viruses and none should have left cookies they are nothing more than animated gifs which I uploaded with links attached, there are no pop ups or anything of that nature.

Until my problem is fixed I will take those links off.

Now if you would still like to help me I would be very grateful.

My proper name is “Cecil BUTTHEAD”, thank you, although I prefer to be called “The Cecil”.

Mom? Mom loves smart ass comments if there’s no penalty for expressing them.

A website owner or blogger has to know and accept that their content and choice of ad’s, their layout and design may “influence” others. I’m not stranger to adult site. All flash and “subscribe now”. If that’s your tired business model, it’s not my problem.

I’d guess one of those ad’s isn’t CSS nice for your theme.

Ah. Thanks. I get a 404 on a category click. As mentioned above, your category permalinks may not match the directory on the webserver because of .htaceess.

Your permalinks for each post doen’t work either. You or what you use to post with is mucking with the .htaccess. Both are pretty well known issues.

It may also be a case sensitivity problem.

I went back to using default permalinks but now links just refreshes the page. I will try to edit my .htaccess

I’m only “The Man” if the problem is solve-ed.

Well your THE MAN for continuing to help me.
I went into permalinks default ftp new .htaccess blank one links just refreshes page

While the permalinks setting is default ugly, delete what’s in .htaccess. Keep the file name, but delete what’s inside. Turn off any plugin you might have. Get the ugly links to work first and build up from there.

“The Cecil” you are “The Man” I guess erasing everything in the .htaccess worked issue is solve-ed.

I know we had our differences but thank you.

    “The Cecil” was here !
