My comments have disappeared!

    I’m using tewntyfourteen theme…

    Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the theme’s folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    Go to Posts > All Posts
    Click ‘Quick edit’ for one of the posts (it appears when you put the cursor over the post title)
    See if ‘Allow Comments’ is checked?

    Thanks for the suggestions. I had everything ticked in settings. I did the obvious thing and downloaded the theme afresh. I didn’t want to do that because I was unsure what I had changed (I’m a first timer!) – but that was the whole problem, I couldn’t remember what I had changed ??

    All fixed.
