• I decided to make a new website for a new business today. Everything was going smoothly until I noticed a 403 Error Forbidden as well as my dashboard being messed up. I had the person who I normally help with websites take a look and he can’t explain it. The dashboard is purely text, jumbled up down the page. I do not know how this happened or know how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi @miami22,

Sorry to hear about your dashboard got messed up!

If you can see the plugins page properly then deactivate all the plugins and start activating it one by one so that you can locate the reason of this.

If you can’t see the plugins page properly, then straight away, ask your friend (who helps you as you have mentioned) to access the plugins folder and rename it through FTP. Then hit the plugins page once again and you will see all the plugins deactivated. Then start activating plugins one by one.

If even on deactivating the plugins doesn’t work, then update the Core of WP files through FTP and see if you see any new changes.

Also, if all the above things do not work, then check with the theme you are using.

Before every step, please don’t forget to take database backup as well as files backup.

Please let us know what is your response on above activities.

Looking forward to hearing about it!
