    Explain better the issue if you want other people don’t install this plugin.
    “My encoding broke” means nothing if you don’t add more details.
    Do you have accented or special characters?

    For security reasons, the plugin escapes non-valid characters. The escaping functions may be too strict for your characters. What’s the language of your website?
    If this is the reason for the issue I’m very proud that “your encoding broke”.
