My favorite SMTP plugin

  • Always been my go-to SMTP plugin. It was simple and contained only the features i needed. However, i must admit that the changes in 2.0, i’m not too much fan of. It now has a admin menu item in the left sidebar, which i don’t like. I prefer the admin sidebar to be clean and especially not containing items that you will access 1 time to configure and never access it again. Hence the 3 stars. Otherwise it’d be 5 no doubt.

    Update: It seems i didn’t notice the new “Compact mode” under “Settings->Misc->Compact mode” (thanks to @gregor)

    We understand the reasoning behind your rating and have taken your feedback into consideration. We have begun testing an adjustment that should resolve this pain point going forward.

    We do not currently have a specific date/time in mind, but this adjustment will take place in the next update that we are currently working on.

    Hi @boutzamat,

    we just released a new update (version 2.0.1), which includes a new setting in the Easy WP SMTP > Settings > Misc (tab), called Compact Mode. Please update to this latest version and enable that setting. It will remove the top level WP Admin menu entry for Easy WP SMTP and move it back to the WP Admin Settings submenu (where it was before the update).

    Please let us know if that resolves your issue with top level menu items.

    It’s not your fault that i am blind ?? I didn’t notice the compact mode.
