I suck at reviews but I think it looks great. It’s easy to read and navigate,nice choice of colors and fonts. I love the front page template.

The rocking horse content threw me off a bit but that’s nothing to do with the design.

I think it is very pretty and well-organised.

First time its always a self-rip off.
As you gain experience and confidence, you will earn much more with your future projects, I hope.
I would site it looks pretty good in general.
The only problem is taht you really lack on text.
The internet is text heavy, and if you don’t provide enough text, there is not much value in it.
Try to write as many text and description as needed, so it wont feel dull.
The contact page doesn’t look friendly either. (you should add at least a paragraph, something like we are happy to recieve your emails and will anwser shortly for your concerns or any inquiries, bla bla bla.

An embedded Google Map centred on the businesses address would look great on the right hand side of the contact page, other than that I think it’s very good and professional!

@Xarran Bs – Yes I see what you are saying and I agree about the lack of text. However this was one of the requirements of the client that it was mainly visual. I’ll try and explain again about SEO and google rankings etc and hopefully they will agree to add more text content. Also I totally agree about the contact page friendiness so I shall change that ??

@codebotics – Yes a Google map would be a good idea (I should of thought about that really). Thanks for the comments ??

No problems, I completely understand how it happens.
The typical bosses are almost always happen to be insistent on their own ideas and perspectives, also knowing nothing about internet marketing.
Perhaps you should approach them, by trying to convert the subjects unknown to them into their corresponding money equivalent.
For example, if they don’t invest in SEO, they’ll have to buy traffic, or they would have no clients.
The UK traffic is VERY expensive. I bet its around 50 cents, if you want a clean traffic from Google Search on Adwords.
While the typical conversion rates may be about 1%, or even 2% at its best.
So per 1000 bucks spend you would only have about 30 buyers.
Would this pay out, even if they will become the returning customers? (you bet).
Now the copywriting for the simple site like that should not take more than 10 hours. Professional third country copywriter costs 8 bucks per hour (just make sure you know someone, and they are not scum, or reach out for local copywriters though at higher rate).
So that’s 80 bucks.
For another 80 bucks you can submit it to some of the top directories, (though you would need to choose wisely).
Then you can add some more and also try SMO.
And as the domain ripens, and gains the authority, you could gain the same amount of visitors at much cheaper cost. ??

@esmi – I have ‘stupidly’ put my clients full site address in the hyperlink. Now when they have googled their website this thread is one of the first results that come up and they are not happy about it to say the least. I would be very grateful if it could be possible to remove the thread or at least remove the website address from my first comment (I realise this will take a while for Google to change as they cache pages). Thank you.

Very Very big mistake Paul, yes we have seen it, we offered you money the other night and we were here for you to talk to, I have been in business for a lot of years as you know and the first rule is “Do not piss your customers off, especially not your very first one.

The second is do not rip them off which is the advice you have been given, Sharon is devastated as she read this last night and she has just told me.

Call round and get your money and we will call it a day if you are this unhappy. We have never ever tried to rip you off.

I strongly advise you do not take advice from idiots like Xarran as he is a total and utter arse-hole.

Just so that all of you who have commented on this know, I offered Paul the chance to take over another two websites when this one was completed and I pay a lot of money for mine.
