    Good morning,
I have “launched” my blog with WP https://thierrydehove.com/wordpress/

I have some bugs with my template with my thumbnails
https://thierrydehove.com/wordpress/?m=200905, on this page, I am supposing to have small thumbnails on the left of my text but as you can see, this photo is missing.

    So they said:
ColdStone utilizes a script called TimThumb to automatically resize images. Whenever you make a new post you will need to add a custom field. Scroll down below the text editor and click on the “custom fields” link. In the “Key” section, input “Thumbnail” (this is case sensitive). In the “Value” area, input the url to your thumbnail image. Your image will automatically be resized and cropped. The image must be hosted on your domain. (this is to protect against bandiwdth left)

You will also need to add thumbnails to your featured articles. To add a featured thumbnail, create a second custom field with the key “Featured” and the Value of your image URL.

Important Note: You must CHMOD the “cache” folder located in the ColdStone directory to 777 for this script to work. You can CHMOD (change the permissions) of a file using your favorite FTP program. If you are confused try folowing this tutorial. Of course instead of CHMODing the template folder (as in the tutorial) you would CHMOD the “cache” folder found within your theme’s directory.

my URL link for these photos are for example: https://www.thierrydehove.com/wordpress/wp-content/themes/ColdStone/img/discover-saint-martin.jpg

I have also updated this cache folder: by 777 yesterday

Still nothing… where is my mistake ?

Please let me know and thanks in advance,
    Thierry D

  • actually the 1st time you do it on some servers you need to chmod /wp-content and all image folders under it to 777

after that chmod everything back to 755 except the /cache folder

    Hello again
my hosting company “pair.com” helped to set up this “777” where I was supposing to do them… still the same bug, I mean we don’t see the thumbnails on the left… ;-(

they say this: ColdStone utilizes a script called TimThumb to automatically resize images. Whenever you make a new post you will need to add a custom field. Do you think my URL is correct: https://www.thierrydehove.com/wordpress/wp-content/themes/ColdStone/img/discover-saint-martin.jpg

Please let me know, thanks T
