My first website ever

I find the white text in the center hard to read. That might be exacerbated by the fact that I dont read the language.

I dont like the spam links in the footer.

Me neither, but i dont know how to remove it. Its a free wordpress theme. Does anyone know how to remove it? I would like to remove the whole footer actually, exchange it with my own…

What do i do with the footer.php? Open it in a text edit program?

You can either go to your WP admin and click “display”, “edit theme” and then the footer.php on the right. It will open in the screen on the left and you can edit and save it if the permissions to the theme folder allow you to. I usually have to switch theme to default and back to custom for the changes to take effect.
You can also use the most simple text editor that you can find (notepad or wordpad) to open the footer.php, change, save and upload it to the correct folder. Or even better, save it in a folder with changed items (in case something goes wrong, you can at least FTP the correct version).

If you open the file and the links are “hardcoded”, it won’t be difficult to find. The footer.php is usually just a short file.
Btw. I tried to make a pointer, but I see your theme is back to default (or something?).

I switched the whole theme cause i didnt find how to remove the annoying spam links in the footer. I also think this new (big blue) theme is easier to read and looks more clean.
