  • Hi @quintinm

We have not been able to reproduce locally, but have had some similar reports and are looking into it as soon as possible. In the meantime, please try disabling, deleting, and reinstalling NextGEN Gallery. You will not lose any galleries or data, but it will refresh the plugin files and should hopefully correct your issue.

Tried that, still doesn’t display them.
In the admin area / gallery the thumbnails are broken and when i click on the link to the image it says page not found.

The path in the gallery is this and it DOESN’T WORK.:
    https://www.quintinmills.co.za/wp-content/gallery/architecture-and-interiors/Waterfall-architecturl-photography-by-quintin-mills.jpg

The path to the NGG folder is this and it WORKS.
    https://www.quintinmills.co.za/wp-content/ngg/gallery/architecture-and-interiors/Waterfall-architecturl-photography-by-quintin-mills.jpg

What is the problem and how can i fix it.

    This is VERY urgent now.

    Hi @quintinm,

Can you please let us know what is the gallery path that you are using in “Gallery -> Other Options -> Image Options -> Where would you like galleries stored?”?

    Thanks

It is not that I want them changed, – they were working a few days ago.
Something has changed when the site was updated, presumably to an updated PHOP version.

    Hi @quintinm

Let’s check your current version of PHP
Go to Gallery > Overview > Site details
Copy and paste the information you find there.

We can also try these steps:
1- Try re-inserting the gallery display.
2- Clear any plugin cache you have installed.

If the problem persists, we can try to recreate your thumbnails or recover your images from backup. But it will be nice to check with a new testing gallery and a new page.

    Please, keep us posted.

I did a test last night and if I upload a new image, it displays correctly.

Inserting a gallery into a page will not work because the images in the gallery seem to have lost the path to the image. All the thumbnails are broken and when I try to click to view I get a 404 error.

Cache plugins were the first thing i tried.

    Hi @quintinm

Apologies, Let’s try to check for existing conflicts:

1.- Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except NextGen Galler.
2.- Is the problem solved? Then, it was caused by one of your plugins. Please check one by one and find the one causing the problem.
3.- If the problem is not solved with the deactivation of the plugins, try changing to a standard WordPress theme, it could be a conflict with your current theme.

Please let us know how it goes.

Note: We always recommend performing a full website backup before troubleshooting.
