    Hello,
    I have following problem: my german translation goes automaticly back to german default (page “Kasse” /checkout)
    I translated WooCommerce “German (Formal)” – German text to my individual german text.
    But after few days the default german text is back and my text is deleted.

    I want to stop all automatic translations and stop go back to default!
    How can I solve the problem?

    My idea, but I dont know its right:
    Deutsch Sie – translation progess – 77%
    1. I found in loco tanslate settings: po files are synchronized – Fuzzy Matching Tolerance: 20 % -> change the setting to 99% and everything is fine?
    2.Code to wp-config?
    3. you are the expert, what do you recommend? What is the solution?

    Hello,
    my translation files are in “/wp-content/languages/plugins”
    and Avada is in “/wp-content/languages/themes”
    not in "wp-content/languages/loco"
    What is to do?

    As the FAQ states, these locations are not safe from updates. Use the custom locations as documented, or prevent your WordPress from updating translation files.

    What is to do? switch folder? change permission?
    Do you have an easy instruction?
    Do you think I can do it? or only for experts?
    Or do you think it′s not really neccessary?

    I don’t know what your capabilities are, or what trouble you’ll experience using custom file locations, but the plugin is designed to override installed translations instead of replacing them.

    I suggest as a first step you move all your affected files to the custom location. Hover over a translation file in the list and click “Move”. This will take you to the “Relocate” tab. Select the custom location and click “Move files”.

    I have 581 plugin files and 11 theme files.
    all files in the folder -> "wp-content/languages/loco"
    or "wp-content/languages/loco/plugin/ and "wp-content/languages/loco/theme ?

    The Relocate function I’ve pointed you to will handle this.

    I checked filezilla, I have not the possibility “move” and “relocate”
    Can can not do like recommended.
    Hover over a translation file in the list and click “Move”. This will take you to the “Relocate” tab. Select the custom location and click “Move files”.

    PS. I got a warning
    1.Warnung: Es wird auf die Quellenextraktion zurückgegriffen, da Avada.pot fehlt (Warning: Reverting to source extraction because Avada.pot is missing)
    2. now I have in WooCommerce two times “Deutsch (Sie)”
    languages/loco/plugins/woocommerce-de_DE_formal.po
    languages/plugins/woocommerce-de_DE_formal.po
    -normal?

    Warning: Reverting to source extraction because Avada.pot is missing

    Many plugins ship without a POT file, but it may just be misnamed. This can be a problem, but may not be. I can’t comment re Avada theme. See Working with templates to understand this topic.

    Yes. It’s expected to have two language files. WordPress will have installed the “System” translations automatically. Your custom file will override these. See the paragraph on file loading order.
