My go to spam defense

This plugin seems to be overshadowed by plugins like Akismet, but for me Antispam Bee has turned into a must have plugin. Any time a site suffers a spike in spam I use this and it stops it dead, generally with zero config… just install and you are set. Great work Sergej!
