  • Frustrating! Very sorry to hear that.

It may take some time, but you can take more control over your site’s visibility by registering with and using Google Webmaster Tools.

Also, here’s some google info about what to do after being hacked, which is also very GWT-centric.

In order for the Google description to advertise pharmaceuticals, the ad content was served to Googlebots from your site. The only way this can happen is when your site itself was hacked. lettergrade offered some good tips on how to recover your good name once your site has been deloused.

To delouse your site, work through the steps outlined on FAQ My site was hacked.

OK, I think I have the exact same problem!

Skincare1, I’m with you, it’s an embarrassing situation and you can’t move anything forward until you have it fixed, I can relate.

My site is https://www.fitfastfoods.com. When you do a google search with Fit Fast Foods and click on it, it takes you to a totally unrelated URL that’s nothing but a blank page.

I have no idea on how to fix this! I have called my hosting provider and they seem to be able to access my site no problem so they have not been able to assist.

What can I do? Can Google fix it?

    Thanks all!

    @mtnbike_chick-

I also can access your site without any problem. Searching Google for Fit Fast Foods brings up your listing, looking completely normal. Clicking the links leads to the expected sections of your site.

Are you still having issues or was it resolved? Do you see odd behavior with other searches? Perhaps your browser is the one infected?

Hi BC, I’m still having the issue. Glad to see you’re not ??

I tried Safari and now Firefox and when I click on my Google listing, it takes me here:

    https://antpoif.ddns.me.uk/

A friend of mine had brought this to my attention a few days ago and I did restore my site to a few days back but somehow it does not seem to have corrected things on my end.

How could I tell if it’s my browser (s)?

    Thanks so much!

I no longer think it’s your browser. I tried Google again from a different IP address and computer and got the same redirect as you.

When I enter your URL or click your link, everything appears fine. Just a guess, I think a hacker installed script that conditionally redirects when it sees a Google referrer and possibly only certain IP ranges. Similar techniques have been observed in other hacks to prolong discovery.

It would be safest to assume this is a hack and you should start working through the steps in FAQ My site was hacked. Sorry for your troubles.

Oh dear, this is going to take some time! Thanks so much for your help BC, will go through your list… wish me luck ??

    It is a malware hack.

No detected malware but you are blacklisted so someone thinks you are hacked and you might have been.

There’s also a payday loan link on the page that’s hidden.

K, thanks for your help… when I first noticed this issue, I contacted my webhost and they said it was a google issue and therefore, nothing to do with them. How can I demonstrate to them that it’s not? Appreciate this!

SWalberg, OMG, how did that get there? How do I remove it and prevent it from happening again?

Thanks, quite shocked someone would bother hacking a little site like mine!

mtnbike_chick – You’ll have to go through some of the instructions already posted here to fix it, the “help my site is hacked” on the Codex is a good start. Usually these things are automated, someone writes a robot that runs around and looks for vulnerable WordPress sites and injects a link.

I wanted you to contact your host to give them a heads up that there is a site (yours) on the server that has a problem. Some hosts appreciated it. Others first line of defense is that it is always someone else’s fault.

K, that’s a good idea, thank you. Now that I think of it, I recently had them move me to a different server as there was a problem with the previous one, site was loading very slowly. Wondering if there’s a connection since I’ve never had a hacking issue before….

My description at https://web-design-alba.com , is wrong only if I write domain name on Google.
“Now we are going to present some gambling here so you can https://xxxxxxxxxxxx. Check for the e-wallet and payment options …”
