My idea theme (done in Photoshop; pictured) – how do I get it?

  • Good afternoon WordPress!

    I wondered if anyone can point me to a few themes and plugins. I’m a new user, and there are a lot of themes to sort though, so I was hoping someone would be able to tip me to some good ones.

    I’m not a web developer, but I have drawn my ideal theme in Photoshop:

    As you can see, I am also not a good ‘shopper, but I hope it conveys what I am looking for. The main thing is the layout and the widgets, really.

    Alternatively, if anyone has any tips about how to commission a theme, I would be very appreciative.

    Looks good, but it all seems awfully official – it’s all companies and whatnot.

    If I’m merely looking to get a single blog theme made for non-commercial use, how much can I expect to pay? I guess an experienced theme designer could have my theme done in 30-60 minutes, so would $10 a reasonable fee for that?
