I tried to edit some pages today and an image wasn’t displaying in the editor, and showed as a missing image placeholder on the live site/front-end. No only that, but old pages are very difficult to edit in Gutenberg.
So as I say, I uninstalled it. Now I’m trying to edit in the Classic Editor, and NONE of the images are previewing amongst the text (though they do display on the live site/front-end). This is really worrying stuff.
Incidentally: when I select a ‘missing image’ in the Classic Editor, and edit it (pencil icon) the image dialogue window that opens up displays the image. I hope this is a temporary glitch, but I’m not seeing others posting about it.
Thanks,
John
I just made the images preview in the editor by selecting them, launching their pop-up window, and clicking the ‘Update’ button. A long labourious process.
