My info not carrying over

I was excited when I saw this theme because it had everything I wanted. A nice, slick design with a slider.

However, I after I installed the theme and activated it, none of my own content carried over. Even after customizing the theme, it still only showed the original default layout. ProfitMag was in the title spot, not my websites name. Actually, the only thing that actually changed was the Latest post at the top of the screen.

I am very new to all of this. It could be something very simple. Thank you for your time.
