My koko analytics dashboard shows this message “There seems to be an issue with your site’s WP Cron configuration that prevents Koko Analytics from automatically processing your statistics. If you’re not sure what this is about, please ask your webhost to look into this.” When I open its dashboard, it shows everything. But it doesn’t show anything automatically. It missed may visitors and page views. How to resolve it?

Koko uses WordPress’s build in task scheduling system (wp cron) to process the collected data periodically. It seems that on your site wp cron isn’t working as it should.

This can sometimes be the result of having no/very low traffic on the site. If that is the case, setting up a free uptime monitor that checks if your site is online every 5 minutes will trigger wp cron as well.

It can also be that some other task is stuck at the top of the queue, blocking all the following tasks from executing. You can check that with a plugin like Advanced Cron Manager, and then delete the task that is on top of the list.

It’s also possible that your host is not set up for using wp-cron, in that case your hosting provider may be able to help you by setting up a normal server cron job that hits your wp-cron.php file every 5 minutes.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!
