My last changes disappeared

Hi all. I hadn’t been posting for a few months but checked my site consistently and all was fine. Then shortly after Christmas I added a new post and made changed to my menu and one article. All has been fine for a few weeks and then I just logged in and see that everything I changed last on that one day is now gone. I checked my Facebook page and see the link to the last posting, but an error comes up when I click on it now. Is it possible to figure out what happened and retrieve my last changes?
