    Hi,

    Sorry for the issues you are having.

    I tried to visit the first link to see how it was, but only getting a 404 error.

    Can you please provide another link?

    Also, what view is this on the calendar? Is it a modified list view?

    Let us know.

    Thanks

    How it was: https://www.erwinodendaal.eu/images/layout_bvzb_good.png
    And how it is: https://www.erwinodendaal.eu/images/layout_bvzb_bad.png

    The settings are default I think. I haven’t modified anything. as far as I know (I’ve set up this plugin a few years ago)

    See: https://www.erwinodendaal.eu/images/settings.png

    Thanks!

    Hi there @erwin.odendaal,

    That looks very strange! Sorry for this issue, I guess it’s not a layout issue but the calendar not being rendered at all.

    Can you try to regenerate permalinks –WP-Admin > Settings > Permalinks > Save Changes-? To be sure this is a permalink issue you can try to access the calendar this way: https://site.com/?post_type=tribe_events

    If it’s possible please share your site URL here so we can take a look,
    Thanks,
    Nico

    Hi Nico,

    I’ve tried https://www.beroepsverenigingzijnsorientatie.nl/wp2/?post_type=tribe_events but that show’s the same strange lay-out. The calendar is being rendered I think because the clickable titles do link to the specific events.

    Do you want access to the admin?

    Kind regards,
    Erwin Odendaal

    Hey Erwin,

    We cannot log into customer sites, and it would also be quite a security risk to post admin information publicly or over email, so please do not share any admin login information for your sites!

    To come back to your issue, it seems that the main problem you have is that things used to look like this, which is how you want them to look now:

    But the problem is that things instead look like this currently:

    Is this a correct summary of your current problems?

    If so, then unfortunately there is not much we might be able to do here. There is nothing within The Events Calendar that would make the layout render like in the “Bad” example I posted above (i.e. the 2nd screenshot). So perhaps something changed in your theme or other software on your site?

    My first recommendation is to go to Events > Settings in your wp-admin. Go to the “Display” tab, and then go the “Events template” option there. Try out each and every different option, and check on the display after each time you save a new option. Does the layout improve at all?

    If this first step does not help, or does not reveal anything useful, then unfortunately the next best thing I can recommend is to test a bit to try and find out the definitive source of the problem at least. You can do the full troubleshooting steps mentioned here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

    Those steps will hopefully help narrow down the issue to one that comes from your theme, and/or reveal any involvement of other plugins on your site…

    Let us know what you find!

    Hi,

    Ok, the template was set to “page template”. I’ve changed this to “calendar template” and now the correct lay-out is back!
    But, at the end of the list of events the black blocks show also. See: https://www.erwinodendaal.eu/images/list_and_blocks.png
    I can hide this with css, but I’d rather have them not being rendered at all.

    Kind regards,
    Erwin Odendaal

    Hi,

    Can you please tell me where I can switch of these blocks? For example by editing a template?

    Kind regards,

    (@brianjessee)

    Hi,

    I am not sure where those blocks are coming from.

    They look to be linking to events, but we do not have a feature to show blocks like that on the list view.

    Is there a custom template in your theme?

    yourtheme/tribe-events/list/

    Let us know.

    Thanks

    (@erwinodendaal)

    Hi,

    No, I’m not using any custom templates.
    The list with events is shown in a div with id: tribe-events-pg-template
    The blocks at the bottom of the list are shown like:

    <div class="loop">
    <div class="loop-content">
    <div class="portfolio-post-wrap post-1799 tribe_events type-tribe_events status-publish hentry tag-meditatie tag-zijnsgeorienteerde-begeleiding tag-zijnsorientatie tribe_events_cat-meditatie-2 tribe_events_cat-noord-holland cat_meditatie-2 cat_noord-holland">
    <div class='portfolio-post entry-content'>

    So this is content that comes from the wordpress loop…

    (@brianjessee)

    Thanks for that.

    Those classes are not from us for the loop, loop-content, and portfolio.

    Does you theme has a portfolio section or a plugin add that?

    That would be a good place to look for where that is being created.

    I’ve found it! I’m using iThemes Builder as a theme. And this theme has “Extensions”. When I disable them the block are gone. I will tell iThemes as well.
