My links don’t work as they used too

  • Ok so my links don’t work as they used to, and its been wonky for about a week or 2 already

    When I am in the cpanel, I cannot see the issue so I didn’t know about it until a friend came to see my website and told me something is wrong

    When they click a link, it may update to the correct page the first time (or it doesn’t) otherwise it will just refresh with the right URL but the entire page is still the landing page they first landed on

    And you can try with different links, you will go to the right page but it doesn’t change to the page when you click the link (especially on the 2nd time)

    For the record, I only know about this issue AFTER updating WordPress, my theme and some plugins so I don’t know if the issue was occurring prior (clients don’t usually inform you something is wrong with your site)

    For the next record, here are some of the stuff I already tried
    – deactivate all plugins
    – change themes
    – cleared website cache + browser cache
    – tried a fresh htaccess

    I don’t code so I don’t touch code as much as possible haha

    Have you tried updating your permalinks (Settings -> Permalinks, click Save without changing)?

    Yes I did that too, forgot to mention haha… for permalinks i tried saving as it is, going to a default and saving, and saving as postname only as well

    Hum, I think I did not understand your issue. Are you saying you are having problem with your menu links (on the fronted, the visible part of your site) or on Dashboard (administration part)?

    I say this because I entered your website and clicked on top menu links and it seemed ok for me.

    Have you tried check if the problem persists in other browser/network/anonymous?

    So for you, you can click all the menu links and they do bring you to the right page? Like I also have a slider on the home page and the rest do not

    It is for all links. Menu links, url in the text, a word that has a hyperlink, all links for me have an issue. The first might update to the right page, but the rest do not

    I’ve tried Google Chrome, Mozilla, IE, both desktop and Mobile. My friends too. All persist. I’ve tried incognito and private modes too. Not sure what network are you talking about… What is that?

    I saw the issue here. Really, all the pages are the same.

    On the page editor it looks like different? Have you tried edit something on any page and update and check if it works?

    yup, its bizarre. in my cpanel everything works fine.

    yes i just posted a new blog article too hahaha

    i did edit some stuff and saved too, just in case but… nothing worked..

    Did you try to edit the menu? Maybe some update (saving without change) could solve.

    I am very sorry but without seeing the admin panel it takes more difficult for me.

    I strongly suggest you to open a support ticket with your hosting provider, maybe it is something about php.ini, nameservers or htaccess.

    At first, if you could send us a print of your menu page and the links on them it would be a good start ??

    ok wait… i have no idea how to put a picture here ._.

    Private info is something like you don’t show on the internet. For example, I dont like to post on the internet a printscreen that show I have a tab on my browser searching for something, or that I am seeing a video on Youtube… nothing special, something you don’t want to the internet see, hhaha.

    Take a screenshot and send to imgur, and post link here ??
