  • Hey, thanks for reaching out, I’ll gladly help!

May I ask you what’s the blog in questions, so we could have a closer look?

The thing is, our plugin only extracts thumbnails from your images, that are really small (150×150 pixels big) and saves them in your Media Gallery by a descending time stamp.

Or is this not the case? Are there any other images saved in your Media Gallery? Let us know which images have been created and in what order, and we’ll do our best to help you out!

Take care & I’m looking forward to your reply!

    Best,

Is there a way I can PM you? I’d prefer not to disclose my website.

No, that’s not the case. I had images saved in my Media since probably March 2013. All of a sudden semi-old pictures around like June and July 2013 now show as “new” images on the first page when they’re supposed to be back a lot of pages. My new images from a few days ago are now a few pages in.

Okay, now that I look at it, it shows “rp” in the front of the pictures. It was NEVER like this before the plugin. Any idea how I can fix this? Some even say “rp_proxy.jpg” or “proxy”.

RP stands for related posts which came from the plugin and messed up the media order. How can I fix this please?

Hey, sure, you are more than welcome to send an email to me at support[at]zemanta[dot]com.

The thing is, all those newly created thumbnails that have that ‘rp_’ tag in front of it are made by our plugin, yes, but only if the images are from some other domain (like an old, imported blog), since our plugin needs to have something to work with.

I’m afraid that if you wish to delete all these newly created thumbnails, you’re going to have to delete them manually, from your Media Library. Here’s the best way on how to approach this step: https://cl.ly/image/0Q0B1Q2C0M3O

Sorry for the extra legwork on this matter, but I’m afraid there’s just no way around it, I’m afraid to say.

But if you still wish to use our related posts, but don’t want to have all these newly created thumbnails, then I’d suggest you to import those old images to your current Media Library or just rename their old URL’s to the new domain.

In any case, do let me know how it goes or if you have any more questions, since I’d love to help you out! Take care & have a nice day!

    Best,
    Silvo
