I have been working on my site a lot over the last two days and had it all just how I wanted it last night.

It was fine this morning as well but then I went out at 1pm today and when I came back at 4pm and looked on my site the menu is all out of alignment. The menu is sticking to the left of the screen instead of being above the content. If you take a look at my site the problem is clear to see.

I was looking into the style.css earlier today and trying to get my site to be full width instead of having large white borders but I only edited one number a time, saw it didn’t work and changed it back.

I’ve checked and all the numbers in there are as they should be as far as I can see. I re-uploaded a style.css file from two days ago and it just won’t go back to how it was!

I thought I’d fix it easily by doing a full cpanel restore from last night but even that hasn’t worked and the menu is still in the wrong position.

That would suggest the menu was broken last night but it wasn’t, it looked just fine.

Can anyone help me get my menu back in the middle of the page above the content please?

Which menu? Your site looks okay to me.

The main menu across the very top where it says home, about etc.

I’ve tried it on two different computers with different ip addresses and different browsers but my site has gone really wide and I have to use a scroll bar to see it.

I’ve tried taking my site back 6 months and it still looks wrong when I know there was nothing wrong with it then.

I don’t understand why it broke when I was out and not editing it :-/

It’s been fixed now. It was apparently nothing to do with anything I’d done, the database had gone funny on my server. Glad it’s fixed!

When I looked at the site 18 hours ago, it looked the same as it does now. Centered, not wide or anything.

    Maybe it’s just your browser.

Thanks for your input Samuel. I thought the same so I made sure I hadn’t zoomed in by mistake but I hadn’t. I tried it in Chrome and Edge and it looked the same. My hosting company said it looked strange at their end too.

I’m not sure exactly what it was but it’s fixed now and I’m happy.
