My New Design

  • Hello everybody! Here’s my new design, based on rdc* theme. It doesn’t quite validate yet, but I’m working on it. What I need is some browser checks (it seems to work ok in FF and IE on windows) and some tough reviews to tell me where I’m going wrong. Don’t hold back!

  • Your site looks fine in Safari. On IE 5 for Mac the sidebar shows up below all of your posts. I don’t know if I would even worry too much about it though…very few folks still use IE on a Mac.

    Yes, that’s because the IE “max-width” fix I used evidently doesn’t work on IE Mac. Anyone got any comments on the design? I would really appreciate some constructive criticism.

    The top header/nav bar is a little lacking; The background clashes with the overlayed text and the lack of contrast makes the navigation links a bit hard to read.

    I’d also be tempted to make it wider so that it’s at least as wide as the content&sidebar. Nice idea though.
