  • Dear Dsnapr,
Can appreciate your worries, when three years of content at stake. Am a little confused. let me ask some random questions:

Does your new site have a new and different domain name.
Is your new site on the same host as your old site.
Does your hosting company only allow 1 domain name/website or multiple sites.

So you’re say that when you type in https://www.oldsite.com the results you get are https://www.newsite.com

am away to bed, so hopefully someone else will assist.

Yes, the new site https://www.dougnapier.com is on the same host as the old one.
Does your hosting company only allow 1 domain name/website or multiple sites?
Bluehost is my host site and I think allows multiple sites.
Now I got the new site (Dougnapier.com) pointing to the original site https://www.jewelrymonk.com but all my content is gone.
    So confused

take a look with FTP or the Filemanager from Bluehost: can you see both WP-installations?

I can access your login page at https://www.jewelrymonk.com/wp-login.php so your content is most likely safe. Also, Bluehost is awesome at keeping backups! Even if you didn’t perform backups yourself, you most likely have the ability to download a recent backup right from your control panel ??

I’m not sure exactly what you did but the default HTML page is residing in the root folder of the original site…once you delete that, the site should come back.

As far as the new domain, you probably are just pointing to the wrong folder on the server. I think a call to Bluehost will be the quickest way to resolve your issue.
