It looks like lemisstache.com used to be a WordPress.com blog, I bet people are still finding and following it in the WordPress.com Reader.

In the Dashboard of the WordPress.com blog that used to be under that domain (not the www.ads-software.com blog), go to Settings -> Reading and set it to Private.

James, thanks for your useful comments.

I’m a newbie . . . I receive notices that people are subscribing to my site, but I don’t trust the emails; they look odd.
How can I test one to see if it’s valid?
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

By subscribing to your own site, of course. ??

If that doesn’t work for you, please open your own thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting#postform

    Hi James,

Is it ok if I set it to private even if I had it redirected to my new self hosted site? Will that affect the search engine?

    thanks!

It won’t affect the redirect or your search ranking, it will only affect people’s ability to find your now-dormant WordPress.com site in the WordPress.com Reader. ??
