    This has been happening for a few weeks. When I comment on someone else’s blog using my normal log-in it refreshes but nothing happens. It seems to be going to their spam folder and some blogs are huge and would get 1000’s of comments a day.

    Even more bizarre, when I link one of my own past posts in my own blog (a pingback) it goes to moderation and I have to approve it.

    I used to be able to comment on other blogs with no trouble so I think something changed with a spam blocker program.

    How do I fix this?

    It is possible that your IP address has been added to block spam by some of the commonly used software.

    Thanks for the reply. How do I find out if that is the case? And how do I fix it?

    My commenting profile contains my name, email & link to blog just like most bloggers and I am not a frequent commenter, maybe 3 or 4 times a week on 3 or 4 blogs.

    Try these;
    -Reboot your machine and try to comment to the blogs you are having problems (including your own) with using a different email address so that you can know that if your email is in the spam list
    -Use a different computer and try to comment using your regular email ID and a different email ID and see if you find any difference.
    -Use a different user name and see if it makes any difference – some other people having similar names (or part of it) may have been blocked.
