I created a website using wordpress and elementor, it was online, up and running fine.
I received an email from the client today with a screenshot, I checked the website myself – and there’s only the homepage (only one of the 2 languages available working) every other page is disappeared.
Even from the “pages” editor I can’t find them.

How can I recuperate the site?
    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @rafaeleafar,

Have you recently installed or updated any plugins and themes? You can follow these steps to find the possible cause and/or recover the pages:

    1. Verify the trash
Go to WP admin dashboard > Pages > Trash
If you found the deleted pages, click on “Restore”
    2. Review revision history
Look for the “Revisions” link in the “Pages” editor. It displays a list of saved revisions for each page. You can compare and restore an earlier version if needed.
    3. Check backups
If you have a backup system, try to restore the website from a recent backup. This will revert your site to a previous state when the missing pages existed.
    4. Run a plugin/theme compatibility test
      – Switch to a default WordPress theme temporarily
      – Deactivate recently installed plugins
      – Reactivate and check them one by one
If the missing pages reappear, contact the plugin/theme support team and let them know about this issue.

If the previous steps don’t resolve the issue or if you don’t have any backups, contact your hosting support team. They might have backups or be able to assist you in recovering the missing pages.

    Hope it helps!

    Hi Sania, thanks for answering.

No I did nothing at all, the website was up and running and suddendly it was missing every page except for the homepage.
I did a backup and then I did update the plugins – but only after I found out about the missing pages, trying to fix it.

    – There’s nothing in the trash
    – revisions can’t be loaded, it gives an error
    – I made no backups because the website was still in the making
    – not a plugin problem

I honestly can’t understand what happened, is it a wordpress problem or my hosting services’s problem?
    Thanks

You are obviously using the Polylang plugin and are running the latest WordPress. I know of exactly this kind of problem in combination from some of the projects I manage. The solution was always: deactivate Polylang and activate it again. After that, everything should work normally again.

I did it and the problem was solved! Thank you so much, I was afraid I had to start over!
    Thanks a lot

Problem was indeed the polylang plugin, de-activating and re-activating it fixed the problem.
