My pages have gone white!!!!

  • I logged into my site today only to find that about 15 pages have gone white, that is on the front end all you see are the page titles and no content or text but on the backend everything is still there. Can someone help please – thanks

  • Would definitely need to see your page and view the source code to provide any insight.

    If you are using any plugins they could be conflicting, though there are not many that would have that effect. I have experienced that kind of effect with some Caching plugins though.

    Hey Jeremy,

    First of all I would like to extend the biggest thank you to you for coming back so quickly – I only posted 15 minutes. Second, you were absolutely right. Just after posting, I decided to view my recent plugins and sure enough there was one that I activated today which was causing the problem. Once I deleted it, my site came back on-line straight away. I guess I need to be careful with conflicts and learn not to panic ;-0 ??

    It’s really unfortunate that some of these plugins cause such conflicts. I’ve found them to be very rare, but usually when I get blank pages all of a sudden that’s the issue.

    Out of curiosity, were you able to figure out which plugin it was exactly? If so, please share ??

    Absolutely. It was a a plugin I got from a company called Conduit who recently acquired Wibiya. They provide personalised toolbar downloads for you to distribute, and buttons to place on your website or in the sidebar. They have a plugin which you can access through WordPress Plugins.

    Interesting… not sure why that would cause a conflict. Could have something to do with some of the recent version updates I suppose – if they have a website you might find some content there if you want to find a way to keep it working, or if they’re working on an update themselves.

    Thanks Jeremy. You have been a star. I will revisit their site and see if they have anything because I quite like the toolbar. Anyway, if you had seen me earlier – panic stricken running around the house shrieking – you would have laughed all year. Thank goodness for you. Have a lovely evening and I hope that if I ever have another catastrophe, I can depend on you….

    I’ve been there actually – had the same problem with a site before and I about flipped out ha! Glad it’s resolved for ya.
