• Dear Gurus,

I kindly ask you to help me. I am a beginner who created a website with s2 membership options. I have only one big problem what I can not solve. I read some topics about my problem, but they didn’t help. ??

I have the same problem where new paid users become ONLY subscribers.
(instead of become Bronze, Silver or Gold member, – > I have 0. (free) and 1-2-3 (paid ) leveles.

I read the “Hack solution” above, but I don’t really understand how can I do it on my website. If that is the 100% sure solution for my problem as well, I kindly ask you to explain it to me.

It wasn’t so comfortable when my new members were paid and they stay only FREE subs after paypal payment. Pls help me, it would be very very very important and urgent!

    Massive thanks for your help!

    Viktor

  • Excuse for highjacking your thread but I have a similar need.

I want my users to be able to get a membership 1 level in return for a donation of a minimum of $1 but give the donor an option to pay more than the $1 minimum if they were so inclined.

I have S2Member Pro and have noticed the Buy Now buttons which appear to be attached to specific pages and am experimenting with those buttons….I’ll report back if I have any success.

As other posters in the past have indicated, I am rather surprised that S2Memb Pro doesn’t have a special section for this need as there are so many Non-Profit websites out there that could use such a facility even if it was just used as a device to to help discourage potential spammers from signing up to post adverts in comments.

@nbquidditch, actually you can just use regular buttons placed within a protected page. So long as you keep a member’s level the same, all that will happen is that the member will be paying a donation.

The one thing that can’t be done is enabling a member to choose the level of donation, so you might want to provide several different buttons for different amounts. The Pro version’s forms would enable to present these as a neater drop-down list.
