    Hi There.

I had been happily working away on building a site in the Twenty Twenty-Four theme, until the “My patterns” section/folder/category of the block chooser menu disappeared. Likewise, when I went into “Appearance”->”Editor”->”Patterns”, there was no “My patterns” folder in the list. However, I could still see the list of my patterns when I followed the link to “Appearance”->”Editor”->”Patterns”->”Manage all of my patterns” (it shows as a classic-looking wordpress list of things).

    The solution:

It turned out that one of my patterns was malformed – I’d been experimenting with building custom HTML patterns that brought in content types like “Page list” and “Title” in an attempt to build some self-building secondary navigation and breadcrumbs.

I discovered this solution to the missing “My patterns” folder when I navigated to “Appearance”->”Editor”->”Patterns”->”Manage all of my patterns”, then clicked on the custom HTML pattern I’d been building and it caused a “critical error” screen.

I moved the pattern that caused the critical error to the “Trash” and afterwards my “My patterns” folder once again showed in the block chooser and Patterns list.

Hope this helps folks resolve this problem faster than I did!
