PortraitPress is a nice clean theme. You have many HTML links – your own and others – outside of your blog. Links page can be transferred to WordPress page in your site e.g.. It would be helpful for online visitors to navigate back to your main site from say, your guestbook e.g., if you place your header links at the least at the top of the HTML pages.

Congratulations for integrating Gallery2 to your WordPress at the very least with the top navigation, good job. So many others have problems with that. Add recent posts list to show in single post pages to highlight the content you have in your blog.

the site is very clean and well done, mellis. the top picture just makes me a little uncomfortable… with the ceiling in the photo behind you, it feels as if you are looking down at me.
just me, I guess. don’t take it too seriously.

I can’t stop staring at the little progress bar under your big news section. It races across that expanse, and makes me a touch anxious.

Why not add a back/next button in there and have it pause on mouse over?
