• I’ve run across a problem that I have no idea how to fix, and unfortunately I know close to nothing about XHTML and PHP above the common sense level. I also don’t know how to even begin to search for support.
My page is “not XHTML1.0 Transitional” valid. I’d like to fix that, but the following is my primary concern: The manifestation of the invalid XHTML, as best as I can guess, is the seemingly random number of “<“s at the beginning of my posts. I have checked in WP a million times, and I definitely didn’t type those. Additionally, sometimes up to a paragraph is cut out from the beginning of each of my posts.
If someone could help me or even just give me some terms to search for other help with, I would be very grateful.
I have had this problem since the first minutes of my install, before I changed anything about the template or index.php file.

    Thanks!

  • Those are & lt; except for one. I suspect something you modified somewhere, or a plugin… cause it seems to appear *in* the loop… but I can not help more since I can not see (just as it should be for PHP) the real source of it….

Midori, you’re the best. It was a plugin. Now I just have to figure out which one…Ah hah. MarkDown 1.0b4. Since I don’t even know what it was doing for me, I guess I’ll never miss it.
    Thanks again.
