• My posts keep getting deleted. Both published posts and drafts. After they are deleted I try to restore them from the trash but it just shows me a screen saying that the post I’m trying to restore doesn’t exist. After I refresh the page the post is usually gone from the trash as well.

I had this problem from when I started my wordpress some months ago. I have at various times thought it’d gone better but then suddenly something is trashed again.

I have a different theme, different plug-ins and even a different hosting provider from when I first had this issue so I really don’t see what could be wrong. I’m running wordpress 5.8.1. My current plug-ins are:
    Simple History
    Simple MathJax
    WP Control

When I look at the history of my site (made by Simple History) it says that I’m deleting the posts myself. It’s very mysterious.

Sometimes my plug-ins are also deactivated without me doing anything. I don’t know if that’s related.

First off, the WordPress core does not automatically delete posts.

That said, something else or somebody else has to delete them.

Have you tried disabling this plugin?

    Hi lukashm,

Try to follow below steps :

    1.Install a new WordPress
    2.Install the theme
    3. Install theme required plugins.
    Then create posts.
    Hopefully, that helps you.

    Best Regards

    Hi t-p,

Thanks for your suggestion but I also had the problem before I installed Simple History. In fact I installed Simple History because I thought it might help me figure out what’s wrong.

    Hi sharminritu,

Thanks for your suggestion. What exactly does it mean to install a new wordpress? I’m using Goggle Cloud for hosting and they have a one-press set-up thing so I haven’t done much setting up myself.

Are you suggesting I just make a new wordpress blog, for example using Google Cloud again?

Is there anything else I need to do to make sure it’s a new wordpress? It’s my understanding that there’s nothing related to wordpress installed on my own computer, is that correct?
