My preferred choice

YOP is absolutely my preferred polling plugin of choice — and thank you to the author for making this available on the WordPress repository!

There are plenty of options, it’s lightweight, customizable, and I’ve never had any plugin conflict issues — the widget option is nice, too, if you’re using a sidebar — you can have your polls on a page/post, and a question in the widget; it’s attracted visitors for me.
