My previous post disappears if I save draft a new post

  • Hello, can someone help me understand why I can not save draft a new post? Whenever I did that the draft overrides the previous post. And when I get back to all post lists, the previous post disappears and the “saved draft” will be there. But when I open that saved draft, it has the URL of the previous post but with the content of the new post.
    It happens so many times now that it’s really frustrating.
    I can not schedule the posts either.
    Please help. Thank you

    Have you been experiencing this issue from the time you installed / configured your site?

    Did it start after installing any plugin? If you can track down the change that lead to the start of this issue, that last change might be the root cause.

    Also, this might be an issue with a slow internet connection and autosave. If you change windows before a hard save, you should get a prompt to ask you if you are sure you want to leave before committing the changes. However, if you have a slow internet connection or an intermittent connection, could it be possible that your browser is losing connection to the server and therefore the save is not being committed… and then when you move back and forth between your posts list and editing a post, the autosave is recovered?

    When this happens again, can you test your connection speed? And then try from a different location?
