Posting here as having great difficulty finding my way around.

My question is about social share buttons.

I downloaded Basic Social Share Buttons. When I go to set up I get a box called “Blog follow email text” and in it there is sample text:

    Hi.
You recently followed this blog's posts. This means you will receive each new post by email.
To activate, click confirm below. If you believe this is an error, ignore this message and we'll never bother you again.

But do not want the user confronted with all this. I just want a link so that the user can email someone the url of the home page with one click.

I am pretty sure I am missing something obvious.

I would ask the developer but I cannot see how to pm someone on www.ads-software.com, which is the only contact given. (The topic of another post from me.)

I can’t find a plugin called “Basic Social Share Buttons”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/Basic+Social+Share+Buttons/

If you have questions about a plugin, contact its support forum, which you can reach via its plugin page.

Support at www.ads-software.com takes place exclusively here in the forum by volunteers. Questions about plugins should always be posted to their support forum, where their developers as well as other users are present.

    It is here

    https://avantgardescience.com/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=plugin-information&plugin=basic-social-share-buttons&TB_iframe=true&width=600&height=550

I cannot find a forurm page for it.

This is a link apparently to your own wordpress project. Only you can access it, which is good and correct. If you have the plugin info in front of you there are the links “Plugin Homepage” and “WordPress Plugin Homepage” on the right side. If not, it is probably not a plugin which is deposited at www.ads-software.com. Then the developer may have put another link on this page that leads to a documentation or something similar.

A plugin page at www.ads-software.com would be for example this one: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/hello-dolly/ using the example of the plugin “Hello Dolly”.

Thanks. My bad. All the links on the plugin search results lead to that url?!

I have a screenshot of the plugin search result with that showing but I don’t see how to add an image here.

Except for one that leads here:

    This brings it up:

Ah, then it is the plugin here:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/basic-social-share-buttons/

And its support forum is linked on the page and leads to: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/basic-social-share-buttons/

There you should ask your questions about this plugin.
