My reading time is always 1 minute

I have the same issue, using the shortcode the read time is alway 1 min no matter what I set the words per minute to.

Please assist.

If you are using a shortcode-based theme this issue will present itself due to a bug in the code. Basically, the plugin is trying to strip out all of the shortcodes which makes the plugin think there are 0 words in the article which causes it to display 1 minute.
