My RSS feed validates OK but can’t be found by My Yahoo! and MagpieRSS

  • I can load your feed in my browser, but FeedOnFeeds (which uses MagpieRSS) fails. It’s timing out trying to parse the feed. Maybe you could lower the number of items in the feed, so that the parsing engine could finish quicker?

    The problem is not in the amount of items, for example feed of my forum — https://mera.com.ru/forum/rss.php parses without any problem, but the amount of items in forum’s feed is greater than WP feed. I think that the problem is in the HTTP resopnce.

    I too tried adding my feed to MyYahoo and it came back with the same message. I noticed on my stats page that when pinged some of the bots that came to my blog got 404 error when using https://www.myblog.com/blog but then got in ok by adding /blog/rss.php or some other add-ons to my blog URI.

    I have my WP blog hosted on my site, in a directory called blog. So is my feed https://www.myhostsite/blog or do I have to add additional paths to it like blog/rss.php ?

    The problem was fixed by upgrading to WP 1.5.1
