I have activated honey pot but still receiving these emails. Is there a way to increase my protection level?

    Hi @wpzugang

    Hope you are doing fine!

An additional setting that can help you fight bots is the Captcha field. This option will protect your website from spam and abuse without adding any complexity to you users. Captcha together with the HoneyPot feature should stop these malicious attacks to your forms.

Please find more information in our documentation:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#captcha-field

Hope this information helps, let us know if additional assistance is required. The team will be glad to provide further help.

    Kind regards

    Luis

Hi @wpmudev-support7 Thank you for your quick reply.

I haven’t activated Captcha yet because I think your method is not GDPR compliant. Can you say if this is correct?

    Hi @wpzugang

I’m not a legal expert so I’d cannot give “legally binding” response about GDPR but I can say that our reCaptcha implementation follows official Google way to implement it. If there is GDPR issue, it’s on Google end, I’m afraid.

However, we also provide hCaptcha instead which can also be configured via “Forminator -> Settings -> CAPTCHA” page and added to form using the same “captch” field – isntead of Google’s “reCaptcha”.

Official website of hCaptcha claims that hCaptcha is compliant with “GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, PIPL and more“:

    https://www.hcaptcha.com/

and, as far as my experience goes, it’s a fully capable replacement of reCaptcha, if not even better in terms of efficiency.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
