My short links redirect to an IP address instead of to my hostname

    That’s because when you first connected Jetpack, it seems that you connected before your domain’s name servers fully propagated, which meant that your hosting IP of 109.73.233.129/~durfteim/ was used instead. Since that’s the URL we associate with your site, that’s why your wp.me shortlinks use that IP.

    Unless you disconnect/reconnect Jetpack, the information regarding your domain won’t update. Can I have you disconnect and reconnect Jetpack to your WordPress.com user account? To disconnect/reconnect Jetpack, go to Jetpack -> Jetpack in your site’s dashboard. Then, click the My Jetpack button and on the next screen, click the “Disconnect site from WordPress.com” button as shown here: https://d.pr/i/1leC0

    Click that, then reconnect to WordPress.com when you see the prompt to do so.
